João Barreto

Jazz pianist, performer and composer, João Barreto is 19 years old. He is involved in several jazz and classical music projects. He has been awarded in piano competitions, such as in Lagos, Tavira, Coimbra, Seia, Porto (Santa Cecília International Competition), and also in Orbetello, Italy. He began his studies at the age of 3, having studied with Professor Teresa Brandão and, since 2022, with Professor Álvaro Teixeira Lopes. In the area of jazz, he has been supervised by Pablo Lapidusas, since 2015, and currently by João Paulo Esteves da Silva. He attends the degree in music in Aveiro under the guidance of Professor Álvaro Teixeira Lopes. In jazz, he released the album The Lonely Tree (2023), with support from Antena 2, which received positive reviews.
