Da Googie

Deb Googe, the legendary bassist of My Bloody Valentine – and also a regular collaborator with the Thurston Moore Group and Brix Smith – makes her solo debut under the nickname "da Googie". Armed with her Fender IV bass, a loopstation and – in shoegaze fashion – an immense paraphernalia of effects pedals, Deb Googe/da Googie expands and subverts the traditional approach to her instrument, transforming it into a vehicle for creating hypnotic sound tapestries. The premiere in her own name in the city of Porto takes place at the Understage of Teatro Rivoli.
