André Teixeira

André Teixeira, a dynamic and eclectic pianist from Porto, has played solo and in groups in the Netherlands, Portugal and France, with highlights including concerts at the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, Nieuwe Kerk (The Hague), Théâtre Le Granit (Belfort) and the radio station NPO Klassiek. He won the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe scholarship, 3rd prize at the Oeiras Piano Competition and the Helena Sá e Costa Prize, for which he was a soloist with the ESMAE orchestra. He completed his master's degree at the Hague Conservatory with David Kuyken. Previously, he studied at ESMAE with Pedro Burmester, M. Borges Coelho and Madalena Soveral and at the Porto Music Conservatory with António Oliveira. He also took masterclasses with pianists such as E. Virsaladze, Frank Braley and Hortense Cartier-Bresson.+
