“Imagination is subversive,” says composer François Sarhan. That is, the imagination is capable of bringing about changes in the established order of things, of challenging reality. It is present in the artistic creation and in the interpretation that both musicians and audiences make of any work. It is the engine of innovation and human development, as it gives rise to new possibilities that we incessantly pursue.
