Sinopse
How can choreographic practice open up escape routes from the flattening forces of life experiences? A lonely figure wanders around the stage quoting excerpts from song lyrics, philosophical texts and speeches by important figures in Western culture. Musa Insistente [Insistent Muse] emerges from approximations between the concepts of escape and choreography, examining language as a representation of the world, in order to observe the breakdown of the narratives that sustain it. An escape movement is activated by cycles of repetition, entanglement and erosion of words, in a feedback dynamic between speech, voice, body and movement. Escape is that muse that insists on inspiring us to look for exits and invent new ways of being, thinking, seeing and doing beyond the rigid frameworks of the world. — Leandro de Souza
