Sinopse
“Filhos das Mães” [Mothers’ Children] is the follow-up to “Consegues ver os teus pés?” [Can you see your feet], an original idea by Flavia Gusmão for six pregnant actresses, premièred in Teatro Taborda in May 2014, directed by Martim Pedrosa and produced by Nova Companhia. While the first show was a poetic-dramatic digression about how the gestational state directly and indirectly influences the acting of the six pregnant actresses, this next show now addresses, after the birth of all the children, a poetic and political monument to filiation and responsibility. How do these same actresses position themselves in the theatre after the experience of becoming mothers? What do their children add to these mothers? And what does this show add to theatre itself?
