Sinopse
Mateus Barros began his piano studies at the Conservatory of Music of Porto with Professor Nuno Caçote, at the age of 6. Later, he attended the class of Professor Maria José Souza Guedes, having completed the 12th grade with the highest classification. He continued his studies in Higher Education, at ANSO - Metropolitana, in the class of Professor Paulo Oliveira and currently studies with Professor Jill Lawson. He took several courses with Vladimir Viardo, Anna Malikova, Alexander Tutunov, Ivo Kahánek, Alberto Urróz, Miguel Borges Coelho, Fausto Neves, Constantin Sandu and Álvaro Teixeira Lopes, among others. Mateus has won more than three dozen awards in national and international competitions. He was awarded the Inatel Foundation Prize in the Young Soloist Competition. It is also noteworthy that he was distinguished with two revelation and distinction awards. As a soloist, he recently performed in public in Lisbon, with the Orquestra Académica da Metropolitana, conducted by Maestro Jean-Marc Burfin. In addition to other performances as a soloist, he has performed in solo recitals, while maintaining an intense activity in different chamber music formations.
