Sinopse
What would a theatrical polaroid be? It all started with this question. In POLAROID, the narrative is built by exploring pieces of a family album in contact with lived and fictionalized memory. In 2021, the father would be 100 years old and the son 50. There are certain dates that provoke a special synergy, as it polarizes a focal point of the story. This fiction provoked by the time that passes is an account of someone who tries to paste what is absent in the facts, interpreting and penetrating the fixed and spectral image of the photograph. POLAROID inhabits this lapse, in which reconstituting the image of the father, the son reads and interweaves, creating a fabric with the stories of a man's life - until nightfall. — MECANiKA

Author's bio text
MECANIkA aims to explore multiform artistic forms, from the current puppet to the most varied forms of expression. Paulo Duarte's proposals constitute a specific vision, in a metaphorical reality. They seek the meaning of the image, the one that since the genesis of the project is the engine of representation. The image constitutes the visual and plastic representation and can be natural or artificial, tangible or conceptual. Even when it seems devoid of ambiguity, the image opens spaces and complexifies reality.
