A man sets out on a journey to achieve wisdom, step by step. He hasn't reached it yet. It's with a few words like these that Calvino summarises the adventures and misadventures of Mr Palomar, the extravagant protagonist of his book. A project staged by Raquel Silva, Palomar is the first play created from her encounter with Alessandra Solimene, Daniela Cattivelli and Elisabetta Scarin. In the three adaptations, performed in paper theatre — O seio nu [The naked breast], O gorila albino [The albino gorilla] and O universo como espelho [The Universe as a Mirror] — the delicacy of the images created by Alessandra Solimene is paired with the exquisite writing of the Italian author.
