Sinopse

Pâro ou O Belo Abismo highlights a burst of power at the crossroads of imbalance. We move on from the stagnation of time, looking into the deep depression of the hole and try again for the impossible. Being-thing, being-animal, being of not knowing. From the ground where you were, immobile, petrified by the suicidal hyper-reality, to learning to spit out the dance of the moratorium, of life... to walk differently again. — Só Filipe.

This performance entails a slight interaction with the audience.

Text

Author's bio text

Só Filipe was born in Caxinas. He began studying object manipulation in 2000, in an empirical way and focused on technique that serves a rawness strongly influenced by Finnish circus. He developed a particular interest in the synergy between the body and the object, repositioning himself in the hierarchical relationship between these two elements. Over the years of practice, his interest has shifted away from technical virtuosity, giving primacy to the immaterial, the body and the voice as autonomous triggers. The result is a hybrid language and a distorted virtuosity.
