Sinopse
On stage, a couple play and explore different actions, making use of everyday clothes and objects, and showing how their more or less conventional use may affect and interfere with the way we see ourselves and everyone else. The Swedish company Teater Tre’s performances always have a strong movement component, which in this specific case is used to address the role and identity of each one of us. A seemingly simple, yet packed with details, scenic device will take the younger audience by surprise, forcing them to carefully follow the narrative. The older ones, however, certainly won’t remain indifferent to this performance. Mixing performance with video, the continuous wandering between image manipulation and reality makes for an unexpected and extremely dynamic performance. How can one discuss identity and gender issues with children at an age when they do not see them as something permanent and unchanging, and do not question everyone’s role in society?
Teater Tre is a Swedish theatre company established in 1979. Its mission is to make quality theatre for children and youths, and to reach out to all, regardless of social, cultural or geographical background. Teater Tre seeks to achieve such goal with a universal stage language scarce on words but with a great deal of movement. Besides performing at home, in Stockholm, the company tours Sweden and the world, having performed for thousands of children in over 20 countries. Teater Tre is the only Swedish member in the Small size, Performing Arts for Early Years project (financed by the Creative Europe programme), a performing arts project that aims to develop performing arts for children between 0 and 6 years old.
