Sinopse
All the Beauty and the Bloodshed is a moving documentary about the life and work of artist and activist Nan Goldin and her fight to hold pharmaceutical giant Purdue Pharma, owned by the Sackler family, responsible for the opioid epidemic.
We are going to see the final cut of All the Beauty and the Bloodshed for the first time at Rivoli… [a film that was born in Portugal – Laura, who had a huge admiration for Nan, met her in 2014 at the LEFFEST, in Estoril], the same room where, last November, Nan Goldin presented her work, invited by Universidade Lusófona, in a program organized by João Sousa Cardoso, who will participate with us in a conversation.
All the Beauty and the Bloodshed, considered by several publications one of the best films of the year, was awarded the Golden Lion in Venice, and is nominated for an Oscar and for the BAFTA for Best Documentary, among the five dozen awards that have already it received.
