15/10 — 24/10/21
We at FIMP – Porto International Puppet Festival are excited about the very special presentations we will be bringing to you in partnership with Teatro Municipal do Porto. Shows, installations, sculptures, lectures and performances—that’s how we’ll get to know the work of the Portuguese and foreign artists who invite us to watch this extremely odd (and yet so familiar) way of life that the objects that are said to be (in)animate live and make us live. Machines and bodies, puppets, objects and images organise themselves to tell us about science and politics, both real and imaginary, providing this series, which started in 2020, with new perspectives.
In its very own and always surprising way, inhabited by a poetics that is sometimes still and sometimes jumping, sometimes silent and sometimes screaming and laughing, animated matter is back on stage — let’s go to FIMP!
