Rentrée 22/23
Season Opening
16.09 + 17.09.2022
Party at the rentrée? Of course yes. So, for two days, we started dancing, watching and listening to the 22/23 season of Teatro Municipal do Porto, warming up the engines for the coming months of programming.
On Friday, the rentrée programme begins with the national premiere of “Via Injabulo” in the Grand Auditorium of Teatro Rivoli. A programme by the South African company Via Katlehong, which invited choreographers Marco da Silva Ferreira (“førms Inførms”) and Amala Dianor (“Emaphakathini”) to this work. After the show, the celebration continues with a Kuze Kuse Party at Café Rivoli, which means "party until the end of the night" in Zulu. Entry is free.
On Saturday, the warm-up for the second day will take place at Praça D. João I with a Parallel Warm-up with Leo. Afterwards, we entered, once again, the Grand Auditorium of Rivoli, for the second and final performance of “Via Injabulo”. To end the night, we went down to the Rivoli Substage for the concert “There's no knowing”: a dialogue between Joana Gama's piano and Luís Fernandes' electronics.
We have all this and more to share throughout the season. Going on a date?
