DOUBLE TROUBLE #03
28/10 — 30/10/21
The third edition of Double Trouble moves through sound and continues to question undisciplined ways of creating and making.
Sound and sound stimuli thus take on numerous forms in this edition that presents three artists/collectives and whose programme suggests we watch and absorb creation based on sensory experiences and on a journey from the material to the intangible, from what’s near to what’s far away. Artificialia, by Matthew Steinke/Sonoscopia, throws us into another universe, presenting a course with several stops at collected sound objects. Über Alles [Above All], a durational performance by Carlos Azeredo Mesquita, explores the notion of “us” through the national anthems that touch the ordinary, universal nature of modern nationalism. FIM [END], by Grupo VÃO, is an intense shared experience, a discordant chorus in a dark, a very dark world that confronts us with the feeling of a suspended future.
