Quintas de Leitura

This session draws inspiration from a verse by Fernando Lemos and brings two poets from Porto together on the stage of Teatro Campo Alegre for the first time: Filipa Leal and João Habitualmente. They share a subtle, sophisticated humour, and not least importantly a flashing and striking perspective on a sky that protects us less and less. We shall go through the most intense moments of their work in the distinctive voices of Sandra Salomé, Isaque Ferreira and Filipa Leal. João Gesta will be the instigator of the talk between the two invited poets. Maria Corvacho makes her debut in this series with images inspired by short daily moments, Nature and her sufferings—her work combines all this with a little bit of irony. The session comes to an end with the enchanting and intense sound of Lavoisier (Patrícia Relvas/voice and Roberto Afonso/guitar and voice), who take Portuguese musical tradition and passionately, feverishly and tastefully make something new out of it.
