What can a body be? What can we talk about the body? In the first episode of this season's renewed Descortinar, we call upon one of the keywords that runs through several performances that will inhabit the TMP stages (like Victor Hugo Pontes or AURA's performances). André Tecedeiro and Inês Espinhaço Gomes bring together their experiences, their books, seahorses and tilapia in a conversation to interact with other conversations.
André Tecedeiro (1979) is a poet and playwright, graduated and master in Fine Arts and Psychology. Among other publications, he is the author of the book “A Axila de Egon Schiele” (Porto Editora, 2020), recommended by the Portuguese National Reading Plan. André is a trans person and speaks publicly about gender identity and diversity.
Inês Espinhaço Gomes (1991) is a professor of Constitutional Law and Fundamental Rights. Master in European Law, Degree in Law and Theatre-Interpretation. Her research and interventions focus on Human Rights issues, particularly on issues of equality and non-discrimination and law and gender, with a focus on issues related to trans and intersex people.
