In the year in which Quintas de Leitura celebrates its 20th anniversary of wanderings and dances at the service of the Word, we chose twenty-something love poems that still warm our hearts. Poetry thus gives words to the heart. These poems are as accurate as pollen bullets that “restore awe and innocence” in the voices of Catarina Carvalho Gomes, Marta Bernardes, Teresa Coutinho, João Paulo Costa and Paulo Campos dos Reis.
We end with a verse by poet Rui Caeiro that very much reflects the universe of this session: “I thank love for the poems in the sky that make it look blue”.
