TMP launches artistic research and investigation programme for artists currently living or working in the County of Porto

RECLAMAR TEMPO is an artistic research and investigation programme arising in a particular context in which the main premise of performing arts—the physical sharing of space and time with others—is suspended.

At a time when we are obliged to decelerate, there is an urgent need to stop in order to (re)think creative processes and production methods, closely looking at the way speech is build, and delving into the nature of current artistic practice in a more inward-looking way.

Artistic research and investigation processes preceding creation are often overshadowed and held hostage to limited rehearsal time and the constant foreseeing of the final presentation.

This programme therefore intends to regain time to investigate, solidify ideas, produce speech and research practices that will surely enrich everyone’s artistic universe. The outcome of this period will certainly reflect in a positive way in future creations when we can all be once again together.
