Silent Friend

In the Botanical Gardens of the University of Marburg, a majestic ginkgo tree bears witness to three stories: in 1908, the university welcomed its first female botany student; in 1972, another student was transformed by observing a geranium; in 2020, a neuroscientist from Hong Kong conducted an experiment involving the tree. Through the tree and these three stories, Silent Friend explores human curiosity – free and boundless – in an ode to nature and the senses, in the spirit of in the mood for love, bringing us back the unforgettable Tony Leung.
