Sinopse
Beetje bij beetje builds itself up and tears itself down. It grinds the waste of the burning memory that doesn’t go away. It transforms. It is cabaret that raves with the pleasure of what was already in the past. Cleansing of the future. It entertains, invigorates and pleasures. In a sequence. A game. With everyone. A performance between spectre, delirium, hallucination, hyper-realism and the absurd. António Lago’s latest creation aims at giving back a portrait of our societies and questioning the body’s place in the interactions that weave the web of several relations: power, the instituting forces, the collective, that which is private, the development of subjectivities.
António Lago completed the staging, performing and dramaturgy course at the Jacques Lecoq Theatre School, in Paris. He cofounded the company Teatro Só, the space A Sala and the group Ossos. He directed the plays Hamletmachine (Heiner Müller), India Song (Marguerite Duras), Roberto Zucco (Bernard-Marie Koltès), The Malady of Death (Marguerite Duras) and The Force of Habit (Thomas Bernhard). He performed in several pieces directed by Rogério de Carvalho, João Fiadeiro, José Wallensten and Paulo Castro, among others.
