Warm-up with Philipp Knapp

Philipp Knapp, originally from Munich, trained as a dancer at the Ballet Academy of the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, with a scholarship from the Heinz-Bosl-Stiftung, and at the Ballet Academy Benedict-Manniegel, under Professors Alexander Prokofiev and Heinz Manniegel. His interest in Dance Pedagogy led him to complete a master’s degree at the Palucca University of Dance Dresden, followed by a second master in Dance Education at the Escola Superior de Dança in Lisbon. He is currently a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Human Kinetics of the University of Lisbon, researching motor learning and dance pedagogy. As a teacher, he focuses on making the fundamental movements of Classical Dance accessible, guiding students in the conscious development of body, space, and time, fostering both free, creative expression and faithful interpretation of choreographic intentions.
