Batida (DJ set)

Pedro Coquenão has been creating and developing work with music, dance, theatre and visual arts under the name Batida. He closes Saturday nights at Rivoli with a DJ Set. As a producer, he has songs and remixes spread across the catalogues of leading record labels such as Soundway Records, Crammed Discs, On The Corner Records, Beating Heart, Because Music, Heavenly Sweetness and Lusafrica. One of his DJ Sets in London in 2012 made him the first Portuguese and Angolan to star in a Boiler Room session and he has now performed six, between London and Lisbon. DJ Mag named him one of the most relevant names in electronic music that year. Over the last two years, he has performed b2bs at major festivals such as Alive with Branko, or closing FMM Sines with DJ Dolores, including a very special b2b to close Iminente and Super Bock em Stock at the Coliseu de Lisboa, with the legendary Bonga making his debut as a DJ. He also did all-night sessions at Musicbox with Pedro da Linha, with Poté at Lux and Village Underground and a session at Boiler Room Lisboa with DJ Satelite.
