The title of this performance is borrowed from an eponymous book by Jalāl Rūmī, who says the word urges us in our search. Not that the word can get us what we’re looking for; otherwise we wouldn’t need to try so hard and time and again, all we’d have to do was speak, and everything would adjust and arrange as if we had walked into Paradise. The word is like something waving far away, as a mirage or a flag calling us yonder, in the desert.

Companhia João Garcia Miguel The two axes presiding over our creation, training and promotion activities are freedom and theatre. The reason these two concepts drive us is the importance they have when interacting to the society in which we live, thus adding to the growth and improvement of the individuals in search of a humanitarian ideal that is shared by investing in creativity based on the diversity and on the ability to change the worlds in which we live.

O Último Momento is a French-Portuguese circus company created in 2004 by Portuguese circus artist João Paulo dos Santos and French musician Guillaume Dutrieux. Based in France, it has travelled all over Europe and reached the rest of the world: Asia, North America, South America and Africa. O Último Momento presents performances mainly focused on the Chinese pole, which is João Paulo dos Santos’ area of expertise, but it is also open to other artistic fields such as video.
