Alfred Hitchcock is back on the big screen. One of the most celebrated and influential directors in the history of cinema, cited, copied, honored, and admired by different generations – the young critics of Cahiers du Cinéma and future filmmakers Truffaut, Chabrol, Godard, Rivette, Rohmer, Moullet, and Douchet made him the god of their Olympus; those of the "new Hollywood," from Carpenter to De Palma, Friedkin or Fincher, to Spielberg, Scorsese, and Van Sant, took him as a model. Today, and forever, his cinema continues to be a fervent object of passion. Lights! Action!... but mostly Camera!
