CLÃ • In September 1997, Clã released “Kazoo”, the band’s second studio album. The record includes a cover version of “I’m Free”, by the Rolling Stones, and 12 originals with lyrics by Carlos Tê – thus strengthening a creative partnership that is essential to Clã’s career and still lasts. Songs like “Problema de Expressão”and“GTI (Gentle, Tall & Intelligent)” definitely conquered public recognition, fuelled by an extensive tour of over two years in Portugal that also reached Brazil and Macao. In 2017, after two decades and a few changes inherent to the passing of time and to the band’s evolution, “Kazoo” comes once again to life on the stage of Rivoli for a concert in the scope of Porto Best Of. BEST YOUTH • Best Youth are an indie-pop duo from Porto. alves and Catarina Salinas met as teenagers during summer vacations and inevitably discovered their mutual interest in music. They later formed a band called Genius Loki that released two EPs but didn’t last long. A few years later, while pre-producing a solo album, Ed invites Catarina to take part in it and they decide to create a new project –Best Youth. The debut EP, “Winterlies”, was originally self-released in 2011 and subsequently reissued that same year by Optimus Discos. In 2015, they released their first album, “Highway Moon”, on March 30. Currently, besides being on tour, they’re also preparing the international release of their debut album, and finishing composing the next one, which should come out by the end of the year.
