Sinopse
In Deste Mundo e do Outro [This World and the Other], Saramago describes and reflects upon humankind, showing his love and concern. The writer takes us to the depths of people, places, ancient times and times yet to come. His detailed writing makes us feel and enter the lands. His work contains a worldview, and the piece I’m now creating with the dancers from the National Ballet of Portugal can’t be but my feeling about that view. Endless walks like the passing of humankind on the face of the Earth, carrying both light and heavy, real and imaginary. Carrying life. An indistinct mass of people, with everyone having lost their heart. But there are still those who fight, who raise their voices. There are still those who pay attention to other people’s harm. Those who reach out their eyes, their hands and their hearts. – Olga Roriz
