Filipe Pereira

Choreographer and dancer Filipe Pereira presents Arranjo Floral [Floral Arrangement], a lecture-performance on an artist who was born in Fátima among huge processions, flower arrangements and religious souvenir stores. A journey taking us through a life spanning from faith to atheism, virginity to sexual awakening, flower art to dance and vice-versa.
Accompanied by flowers, choreographies and stories, the choreographer puts forward a reflection on how much of our past lies on everything we do, and on how much of our destiny is written and how much of it is in our hands.  


Filipe Pereira is a choreographer, dancer and floral designer. As a choreographer, he highlights the pieces Nova Criação [New Creation] and O que fica do que passa [What Remains from What Has Passed], in collaboration with Teresa Silva, and Hale – Estudo para um organismo artificial [Hale – Study for an Artificial Organism], in collaboration with Aleksandra Osowicz, Inês Campos, Helena Martos and Matthieu Ehrlacher. As a dancer, he has been working with João dos Santos Martins, Sofia Dias & Vítor Roriz, Dinis Machado, Beatriz Cantinho and Martine Pisani, among others. As a designer, he’s developing his most recent project, Antese [Anthesis], creating floral arrangements for a number of purposes.
