Sinopse
“Unsettling Green” is a choreographic study that will be presented as the result of experimental research between visual arts and performancearts. The initial aim was to research new frontiers and connections between these two forms of artistic expression. This work will be carried out to recreate a long-term piece in the future.
Gustavo Monteiro was born in Porto. He graduated in 2014 from the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance, Austria. He has been involved professionally with pieces choreographed by Rootlessroot, Martin Nachbar, Michicatzu Matzune andHelder Seabra. In 2016, he performed in the piece “Assim, tipo...dança contemporânea.” by Tiago Rodrigues (CI) and in July 2016 he joined Compagnie Thor under the artistic direction of the choreographer Thierry Smits for a new period of creation and subsequent international tour.
“T r i o” is a research project on the possibility of spontaneous communication between four performers. It involves physical research on the potential of contradiction and paradox as a way of creating relationships andgenerating movement. A series of rules that define a language for interaction demonstrate the constant need to take decisions and to position oneself inand in relation to other(s).
Luísa Saraiva was born in Porto. In 2015 she completed a degree in Dance at the University of Arts Folkwang, Essen. She has worked in creations of artists such as Ben J. Riepe, Catarina Miranda, Mark Sieczkarek and Susanne Linke.
Alejandro Russo was born in Buenos Aires and in 2015 completed the MA in Composition in Dance, Analysis and Notation of Movement option, at the University of Arts Folkwang in Essen.
