Sinopse
Luta Armada continues Hotel Europa's investigation of the recent past, analysing the political projects that resorted to violent actions such as bank robberies, bombings, sabotage, among others, as a form of struggle. The starting point for this project is an extensive collection of testimonies from people who were active in these organisations, as well as the research of documents about their actions, creating a multidisciplinary documentary theatre show. This work firstly describes the actions of groups that saw armed struggle as the only way to end fascism and Portuguese colonialism, such as LUAR, Brigadas Revolucionárias and ARA; secondly, the extreme right-wing groups known as the Bomb Network, which were active during the PREC period between 1974 and 1975, such as ELP, MDLP and Maria da Fonte Movement, which allegedly fought against the imminent establishment of a communist regime in the country, but also the independence movements in the Azores and Madeira, which opted for violent action, such as the FLA and FLAMA; and finally, the last group that began its activity in 1980, the FP-25, which fought for the restoration of socialism.
