Sinopse

In 2024, the piano and electronics duo comprising Joana Gama and Luís Fernandes celebrates its tenth anniversary. They released five albums that cover works as a duo, trio, quintet and with an orchestra. They concurrently collaborated in performing arts pieces and films. In Strata, the duo returns to its original format, extending an invitation to film maker Eduardo Brito—with whom they had previously worked in two films—to create the visual imagery for this performance in collaboration with Frederico Rompante, who has been in charge of their concerts’ lighting design from the start. — Joana Gama & Luís Fernandes

Since their debut concert in 2014, the piano and electronics duo comprising Joana Gama and Luís Fernandes has presented itself at home and abroad on a regular basis, including the presentation of at the still point of the turning world, with the Metropolitan Orchestra, at the Great Auditorium of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in 2019. In 2022, they released their fifth album—There’s no knowing followed the invitation by Nuno M Cardoso for them to create the soundtrack for the television series Cassandra, which was broadcast on RTP2 in 2023.
