La Tierce: Sonia Garcia, Séverine Lefèvre & Charles Pietri

Everything is precise, light and deep in this piece-installation that develops around simple gestures: drawing a white line in the ground, starting a fire, waving, singing and even dying a little. The three choreographers from Bordeaux that form La Tierce continue their research for a dance where the poetry of each movement lies in the action more than the interpretation. Because, as they explain, poems “do not look for something, they just are, and that’s it”. Sonia Garcia takes her time with 22 actions enriched by sound games, colours and variations in light. The space, as a painting, is also inhabited by two bodies-landscapes whose presence is intense. And with such care placed in the making, a thousand imaginaries are released. 


Founded in Bordeaux in 2014, the company is composed of dancers and choreographers Sonia Garcia, Séverine Lefèvre and Charles Pietri. All three share a common vision of the stage, which they wish to convert into a space where each element - music, body, space and light - releases not its power, but its fictional potentialities. Thanks to a slowed down time, they deploy open presences, as if in empathy with their immediate environment.
