Sinopse
Three monologues about live and intimate relationships. Three conversations about gender violence, lovelessness, secret love and inability to love, in a country struck by recession and an ageing population. The script was written by journalist Ana Cristina Pereira and is based on a series of interviews she conducted for Público newspaper.
LUÍSA PINTO has a Master’s Degree in Theatre/Direction from Porto’s Higher School for the Arts (ESAP). She teaches at ESAP and sits on the board of Cesap, the higher education cooperative for the arts in Porto. She has a PhD in theatre and performance studies from the University of Coimbra’s Faculty of Letters. She has directed over 20 plays, including “Mil olhos de vidro” (A Thousand Glass Eyes),” Dali”and ”Missa do Galo” (Midnight Mass) by Carlos Tê and Manuel Paulo; “ Sicrano” by Jorge Louraço Figueira; “A Casa Encantada” (The Enchanted House) by Roberto Merino, “elegante melancolia do crepúsculo,” (the elegant melancholy of twilight) and “Chavela” by Pedro Pinto and Filipe Pinto; “Amor solúvel” (Soluble love) by Carlos Tê,”“Um fio de Jogo” (A Game Thread), “Trago-te na pele” (I carry you on my skin) by Marta Freitas, “Breviário Gota D’Água” (Drop of Water Breviary) by Heron Coelho, from Chico Buarque and “caminham nus empoeirados” (they walk dusty naked) by Gero Camilo, plus other crafted by a range of prestigious authors and dramatists writing in Portuguese. As well as directing, she has designed scenery and figurines for her shows and her hand is evident throughout everything she has created in the last five years.
