Multiplex 2021: Júlio Bressane

In an initiative by the Lusófona University of Porto, Júlio Bressane has been invited for the 11th edition of Multiplex. He is surely the most respected living filmmaker in Brazil, associated with its fringe cinema, which in a way reacted with a provocative radical spirit to the languages of Cinema Novo. Tabu (1982) is the opening film of Multiplex, staring Caetano Veloso. In other films, we’ll be able to find Chico Buarque, Gal Costa and many of the best artists Brazil has offered the world over the last half century.
