Novos Talentos

Eduardo Vida Larga was born in 2000 and is from Monchique. He began studying piano at the age of five at the Joly Braga Santos Conservatory, in Portimão, in the class of teacher Teresa Brandão, finishing the 8th grade of the articulated music course at the same conservatory. He attended the degree in music, at the University of Aveiro, in the class of Álvaro Teixeira Lopes, and later studied at the École Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot in the class of Professor Guigla Katsarava and Bruno Rigutto. He attended several masterclasses and piano interpretation courses with Álvaro Teixeira Lopes, Teresa Brandão, Elena Tsoranova, João Rosa, João Paulo Santos, Fátima Corvisier and Fernando Corvisier in Portugal, and Phillipe Raskin in Croatia. In the field of chamber music, he studied with António Chagas Rosa and Monique Mercier. He was distinguished in 2009 with the two ex-aequo second prizes in the 6th Iberian Piano Competition of Alto Minho (class A) and in the 10th International Competition Cidade do Fundão (children's class A). He was awarded the 2nd prize ex-aequo at the 7th Iberian Piano Competition of Alto Minho in March 2010 (children's class B) and in 2011 with the 1st prize ex-aequo at the 8th Iberian Piano Competition of Alto Minho in 2011. In In 2012, he received the 3rd prize ex-aequo at the Cidade de Almada Competition, and in 2015, the 3rd prize at the Coimbra National Piano Competition. He participated in several piano festivals, such as the Primavera Piano Festival in Portimão, recently performing with several solo recitals at the Casa Comum da Rectory of the University of Porto, at the 1st and 2nd Piano Festival in Lagoa, at Colégio de São Teotónio in Coimbra and at the Deutsch de la Meurthe Foundation in Paris.
