If we want to produce a fashion collection, we create it around a dance studio. If we want to present a fashion show, we plan it externally, outside the established circuits, outside fashion. If our aim is to produce and publicise the collection, we organise a showroom performance where what is for sale may not be the clothes per se. Neither brand nor label, this collection is an SOS to the world of fashion. It is the result of the work of novice seamstresses, qualified machine operators, who came to attention in famous establishments. — Olivier Saillard


Olivier Saillard is currently director of Palais Galliera, the Museum of Fashion in Paris. An acknowledged fashion historian, he has curated prominent international exhibitions on fashion, amongst which “Alaïa puis Jeanne Lanvin”, at the Palais Galliera; "Paris Haute Couture", at the Hôtel de Ville de Paris; “Madame Grès, la couture à l'œuvre’, at the Musée Bourdelle ; "Christian Lacroix, histoires de mode" (Arts Décoratifs); "Yohji Yamamoto, juste des vêtements" (Arts Déco) ; and "Andy Warhol et la mode" (Musée de la Mode, Marseille). He is the author of a comprehensive literary work in this area.
