Sinopse

A "no after" in consecration. A kind of posthumous praise for something that never received its due value. In memory of what existed, Sagração de quem Era places human interaction with nature in a prism of praise and fiction, in an act of denial, in an accidental attempt at greenwashing. If the apocalypse was the end, there would be no after. The very term "post-apocalyptic" is at its core a contradiction in terms. The idea that after a climate disaster there is an after is in itself a denialist act of self-sabotage, as the Earth will continue to exist without us. And so I travel the world, irreversibly, unable to keep up with the time in which I live. — Margarida Constantina

Margarida Constantino is a choreographer and dancer born in Porto. She studied at Artez, in Arnhem, with a specialization in theory and artistic research from the Honors program. Since the Palcos Instáveis series started in 2012, it has encouraged the work of upcoming creators from Porto and the Northern region of the country. Curated by Instável — Choreographic Centre and co-produced by Teatro Municipal do Porto, Palcos Instáveis facilitates artistic residencies to create, produce, announce and present new works, thus enabling the intersection of artistic experiences and providing the city with the opportunity to get in touch with upcoming choreographic languages.
