Poet

Didar is a poet absorbed by his daily job at a newspaper. Upon reading the story of a famous 19th century Kazakh poet, executed by power, Didar is deeply shaken and recognizes the hardness and demands of his vocation: he struggles between pain and joy, between successes and failures. Deeply touched by the film, actress Isabelle Huppert says: “I discovered a precious stone called Poet. A far-off story from a far-off country, which was all the more fascinating to me because it grabbed me right away. And that story became mine. Poetry has no borders.
