Sinopse

An aphorism by Teixeira de Pascoaes sets the tone for this poetic evening, which promises to be incandescent.
D’entre os homens, o Poeta é o que vive mais próximo dos animais e dos deuses [Among men, the Poet is the one who lives closest to animals and gods].
The poet is always offside. The poet likes to dip their feet in absinthe. The poet smells good, smells of resistance. We adore unfettered freedom, low flights, trains running late, the groupers of Ipanema, the dark circles of Mirandela, overdue kisses, shots that hit the post, flies with soprano voices, desires never before sailed, and certain other deliriums.

Andamos e não chegamos. O andar é tudo: princípio e fim [We walk, yet never arrive. Walking is everything: both beginning and end].
A host of radiant artists help the night bloom.
It has been worth it. 25 years in the service of Poetry. — João Gesta
