Sinopse
Three women, three heights, three body shapes.
Three women formed a strong structure in mythology, and later found their way in literature and theatre.
One of the most familiar three-female structures was that of the Fates, who controlled the thread of life and death.
Based on the idea of the thread of life, we explore the tensions between feminine ideals and reality, using physical tension to analyse what happens at the moment of release. What are the differences between the tension that mechanically breaks and the tension that someone else breaks on her own? And what happens in that breaking point? Is there someone to help or does one fall to the ground? We play with the option of being one of the Fates while being in the hands of one of them.
María López del Peso (Spain, 1997) studied contemporary dance at EO7 (Madrid) in 2015 while attending aerial circus classes at the Carampa school. She then studied at the King Juan Carlos University between 2016 and 2020.
Shai Hanaor (Israel, 1995) studied aerial circus at the Shabazi school, in Israel, when she was a child. She then participated in the teacher training programme at the same school (2015-2016).
Irit Cahn (Israel, 1996) participated in the circus teaching training programme at the Shabazi school (2016-2018). She then joined the Sandciel Circus School for a year (2018-2019) and the National Institute of Circus Arts (INAC) for another year (2019-2020).
2020 was their first year at the Salto Circus School, mainly focusing on the trapeze. So many hours of training and practicing together created a supporting relation between the three, and little by little emerged the desire to create as a group and to jointly explore the possibilities of the trapeze.
