Sinopse
TRÊS TRISTES TIGRES • In 1996, the album “Guia Spiritual”, by Três Tristes Tigres, was considered the best record of the year by Blitz. Later, it also appeared in the list drawn up by the newspaper Público of the best records of the 1990s, alongside its predecessor “Partes Sensíveis”. 30 years later, Ana Deus, Alexandre Soares and two of the musicians who used to play live with them, João Pedro Coimbra and Quico Serrano, revisit the world of the Três Tristes Tigres, and songs, like Zap Canal, from the first record by the Ana Deus/Alexandre Soares pairing and their partnership with the poetess Regina Guimarães.
OLD JERUSALEM • Old Jerusalem is a project by the musician Francisco Silva, returns to recordings with “A rose is a rose is a rose”, the project’s sixth album. Unlike the earlier “Old Jerusalem” (PAD 2011), entirely composed and performed by the musician, “A rose is a rose is a rose” returns to collaboration with other musicians, notably with Filipe Melo, responsible for the piano and the string arrangements on the album and accomplice in outlining the aesthetic direction of the work. The Old Jerusalem project began in mid-2001.
DAN RIVERMAN • Dan Riverman present a series of new songs that will be part of their next album of originals. “Profound, mature and enveloping” is how we could characterise the sound of Dan Riverman, a band from Santo Tirso. Its current line-up includes Dan Alves on voice and guitar, Rui Materazzi on bass, Mike Peixoto on drums, Bruno Macedo on electric guitar and Jonas Araújo on keyboards. After heading for London, they were in production work with Saul Davies, guitarist for the British band James. In 2017, Dan Riverman will be issuing a new recording, with a tour that will cover the whole country.
