Understage

Coming from different parts of South America, Arianna Casellas & Kauê Gindri met for a long time in Porto, but it was in 2020 that they joined as a duo. They live and play together on the 6th floor of a building in the center of Invicta, where Montes' debut album was born. The view of the mountains on the horizon gave rise to the project's name, which is a metaphor for the place one pursues, traversing the impurities, the noises on the way, to reach peace. Like the project, their debut album, Vozes Antenas Fragas, conveys a sense of going and has the strong presence of an insistent duality: chaos and calm, interior and exterior, far and near, confusion and song. The album, with the Lovers & Lollypops label, is scheduled for November 23rd.


The understage of a Theater can have several functions, but, in most cases, it functions as warehouse space and loads and discharges for the presented performances. But the Understage of Rivoli is, since 2015, the stage of a cycle of music, with monthly concerts that occupy space and transfigure it completely, thus making it another stage of the city. The programes programmers include Matéria Prima, Lovers & Lollypops and Amplificasom.
