Sinopse
Therefore, isn’t the destruction of said archive a necessary liberation, in order to be able to truly belong in the present, and project ourselves into the future; in order to be able to move and go our way? “Teoria 5S” is the first of two original creations dedicated to this confrontation with our physical ballast and the hypothetical (unrealistic?) liberation its destruction or reduction to a minimum might bring us. Based on a gathering of information from the very own archive of Visões Úteis, the performance takes inspiration from a series of methods designed to improve arrangement, organisation and efficiency, in particular the “5S methodology” originating in Japan, which it will try to put to the test.
Visões Úteis (Porto, 1994) is a multidisciplinary artistic project based on collaborative creation methodologies. It has already created and produced around fifty works, mostly original dramaturgies, including performances in the landscape –in Portugal, Spain, France and Italy. Its artistic directors are Ana Vitorino, Carlos Costa and João Martins.
