FLÁVIO RODRIGUES & MARIANA AMORIM + MICKAELLA DANTAS

CABRAS • “Cabras” is a performance project created as a collaboration between Mariana Amorim and Flávio Rodrigues. Based on the idea of a manifesto and collective voice, the proposal derives from the need to create, in conjunction, a possible choir. We talk aloud for people to listen to us and we dance in unison for strength to be maintained. Resistance, persistence and continuity are also rallying cries.
If “Karma is a bitch”, where does that put us? Where do we go? And where are we? Shall we emigrate? Shall we travel? We move from state to state, seeking or fleeing from the world foisted upon on.

Flávio Rodrigues and Mariana Amorim have accompanied each other’s work since 2008 and, having already worked together, this is their first joint creation. They are two dreamers based in Porto who love to travel.



FRANKENSTEIN_3R15 • One creature constructs another creature. The first becomes the creator, the second becomes the monster. The creator feels like a monster because of the being they have created. The monster feels human through its discoveries. Both regret the existence of their bodies. Is there a possibility of reinventing a body? Where are we in the laboratory? Show freely inspired by Mary Shelley’s work.

Mickaella Dantas is a dancer and creator; she is currently working on her own project “Experimento Frankenstein – Investigação sobre corpos biomecânicos”.
