Parallel Warm-Up with Leo

Dancing is how we understand each other: before we watch a performance, it’s time for Aquecimento Paralelo [Parallel Warm-Up] with Leo. In this activity, we wear comfortable clothes, and discover, through experimenting and dancing, what we will see on stage. 

Leo was born in Lisbon in 1979. Since 2003 she has been researching and working in dance, such as Hip Hop, House Dance, Popping and Tap dance. With a degree in Sports Science from the Faculty of Human Motricity, in 2016, she finished the Professional Course in Osteopathy at the Kiros Institute. She founded the female crew Butterfliesoulflow in 2006 and has been part of the company Orchidaceae Dance Collective since 2014. She teaches, nationally and internationally, classes in the styles she researches (House Dance, Hip Hop, Popping). As a performer, she highlights her participation in “Sonho de uma Noite de Verão”, by Teatro Praga (2010); “Periférico”, by Vhils, choreographed by Piny (2018, BoCA Bienal); “Sacred Geometry | A Meditative State”, by Orchidaceae Dance Collective (2018); “Bisonte”, by Marco da Silva Ferreira (2018); “G.Rito”, by Piny. Currently, she is part of “Carcaça”, by Marco da Silva Ferreira. At the same time, she works as a DJ, being a resident DJ at the PumpdaBeat party and at several clubs in Lisbon.
