Sinopse
On the stage, five dancers in a set that remains as a threshold to the tranquil ecstasy of individuals involved witheach other. The work does not aim to reproduce the experience of reality, but instead uses a structural clarity that offers conditions for the spontaneity of the individual, thus proposing various observations on social structures and how individuals interact between themselves.
Emanuel Gat was born in Israel, in 1969. His first encounter with dance was at the age of 23, during a workshop with the Israeli choreographer Nir BenGal. Some months after this workshop, he joined the choreographer’s company, having toured internationally with some of its shows. He began working as an independent choreographer in 1994. Ten years later he founded his own company, Emanuel Gat Dance, in Tel Aviv, where he created several prizewinning pieces. In 2013, he became an associate artist of the Montpellier Danse Festival where, with his company, he developed the “Up close Up” project that proposed two works: “The Goldlandbergs”and “Corners Etudes”, a photographic installation and a choreographic event, “Danses de Cour”. He has presented his work worldwide and is currently considered one of the most important choreographers.
