Sinopse
Between 2021 and 2025, FIMP, in partnership with Teatro de Ferro, created five short films featuring objects in motion as their protagonists. These are genuine action films, filled with jumps, somersaults, chain reactions, explosions and other unexpected twists.
Over the course of these years, we invited a number of artists to explore the world of chain reactions. Through a process that was both playful and challenging, we quickly discovered that objects are very, very temperamental: they only do what they want, when they want.
The format remained remarkably consistent throughout the project. We always worked in the same space and under the same conditions: one week of creation, from Monday to Friday, dedicated to experimentation and construction, culminating in filming on Saturday.
These short films were shown on screens in partner theatres and on the Metro do Porto network, where they were seen by millions of passengers.
In this session, we will revisit the work created over the past five years, followed by a conversation with the creative team and project partners. This event marks the conclusion of this cycle while also looking ahead to new possibilities and future directions for collaboration and creation. - Festival Internacional de Marionetas do Porto
