#5BOCHIZAMI is the final chapter of NA LUT@, a long-running collaborative project dedicated to producer and cultural activist Samira Pereira (1976-2021). Chasing a chromatic map drawn from the phases of mourning, a final attempt at celebration is made in the void. A cinematographic space is built where blurs and distortions coexist with cemeteries and plant maternities, sound diaries of mourning and carnivals. The mobile and underground islands summon mourning, memory and the Cape Verdean language. #5BOCHIZAMI is a journey about the stop of time that is grief. It is a journey through individual and collective memories, real or fictionalized.
