Sinopse

Clara Roquet's first award-winning work, premiered in Cannes during the Critics' Week, this stunning adolescent chronicle of the transition to adulthood in a summer on the coast of Catalonia, is, as El País wrote, "an explosion of discoveries and rebellion", intense , warm and sensitive, moving, and with a deep sincerity. The Libertad that comes from Colombia where she lived with her grandmother, and which gives the film its title, bursts into the life of Nora, the daughter of a bourgeois Catalan family on vacation, for whom her mother worked. Can the friendship between the two cross class barriers? Can Nora's teenage, utopian and naïve gaze change the behavior of the adults around her? This dissonant social satire is also an experience of the senses, when the film lets itself go, lulled by the magnetism of teenage bodies by the sea, struck by the irremediable awakening of desire.
