MICAR 6

Between October 3 and 6, 2019, the 6th edition of MICAR – International Anti-Racist Film Festival, which is promoted by SOS RACISMO, wants to contribute to a plural and representative historical memory, looking not only to document, but also to build a more comprehensive and participatory narrative that will ensure critical reflexion, as well as recognise and question current dangers, such as the reappearance of far right ideologies, the standardisation of hate speech and populism, and the sidelining of migrants, refugees and ethnic minorities. In this edition, MICAR intends to draw attention to the way past and contemporary events interconnect and are at the root of the perpetuation of structural racism phenomena and social discrimination practices, as a way of contributing to the making of a fairer future, free of racism and xenophobia.
